Possible Cause of Anemia: Blood Loss

Blood loss due to accidents, surgery, or burns is another cause of anemia, as well as blood loss due to heavy menstrual bleeding or childbirth. Blood loss can also occur from parasites, you know such as worms (hookworms, roundworms). Infants fed cow's milk too soon can have intestinal bleeding, which can also lead to anemia.

Ulcers and excessive or long-term intake of aspirin can also lead to blood loss, as can malaria and certain types of cancer.
